RE: jerking and bucking
Thanks a lot for all the advice, I do remember that the 5 speed is normal to buck and jerk in first, but this one does it in all gears.
I checked for vaccum leaks and the only leak that I found was the header gasket is leaking....will that cause it?
There is a chip in there, but it's not the right one... this car was never dyno tuned for it's application. The tune that's in it now is for a 347 and that's all I know, I bought it this way. That was all the info that he could give me. He said that he tried five different pre-burnt chips untill he found one that worked. I was wondering if that was what's causing this problem.
You know, it's like when you don't give it enough gas when you release the clutch, but it does it in all the gears if your not in the gas hard enough. It does it when you barely put your foot on the gas, but if you give it more gas it straightens out.
I'm not sure what kind-of clutch it's got though, and the gears are 3:55.

I would agree a hundred percent. I was just trying to see if there was anything I missed before I shell out the dough. Is 700 dollars a reasonable price for a custom tune?

I'm thinking that's your problem right there.

I thought that too, but when I checked my timming it was at 18 degrees BTDC, I backed it down to about 13 degrees BTDC. I wasn't sure if the chip was programmed to add more timming, so I backed it down alittle just to see. I did noticed it ran alot better though.

coulde be your timing mine did that too bumped the timing a little and it went away
