Default loss of power

Hey guys i was wondering if you could help me out with an engine problem. I have a completely rebuilt and redone 306 in my 88. AS of lately when i get on it to even accelerate it has a lack of power and acts as if it is not firing right(not getting enough spark) I looked at all the spark plugs (brand new, spaced correctly), looked at the spark plug wires(no problems) and checked the distibutor and cannot find a problem anywhere. Please help me out, thanks, Dustin

While the car is fired, give it some gas and look at the cap for sparks; if u see sparks then something is cracked.

I had the same problem with my 306, but i fixed it with a cracked plug wire...
Only other thing i could think of right now is timing?
