ORIGINAL: Diggityd

There was a bunch of bugs in mine. [:'(]

^^ For that reason I wouldn't recommend no one takes it off. Don't want that in your motor.

mine had nothing in it the last time i looked at it....and i heart that it is also in there to straighten out the air flow before it gets to the engine.....:S...i dont think thats true but just heard it from someone..

Why?....what gains are u going to get out of it. Leave it ........it protects the mass air sensor

in 5.0 mustangs and super fords they talk about doing it they say it helps i took mine off it sounds different and it has a little more in it. if thinks are on your screen than maybe you shoulde get a better air filter cause i think is pretty much useless if something big enough to be blocked by that screen comes past the air filter than i have bigger problems. honestly what is gonna damage the mass airflow sensor. if you have a good airfilter you should be fine. as far as straitening out the air thats bogus the air just would be turbulent right after. its a restriction take it out.

Well, look at it this way. Pro-M's and C&L units don't come with the screens. At least mine didn't.
