Default Short Belt

How come every diagram I've found shows when you run a short belt you reverse the order around the water pump and crank pulley??

Yeah except for the AC, I skipped the AC also. I just thought it's wierd how it shows stock going one way and short belt another... I don't want to fk anything up.

the belt does not actually reverse directions on the pulley... its just on the other side. If you closely inspect the rotation of the engine, you will realize that the pulley actually still spins in the same direction

Im guessing you have to go that way because otherwise it wouldn't hit the tensioner pulley...
