I think you're lookin to make yourself alot of work for little if any gain, not to mention the possibility you might just end up with a car that develops drivability and or idle issues. Save the money...get the heads first, then worry about the 'sound'

Well just an opinion but for relatively little additional money you could find a nice set of GT40 irons...include a simple alpha cam (E or B) or even the TFS1 cam and have a nice solid 13 (some even manage 12's) performer...AND get the nice lopey idle. I know guys who run the B with stock heads and like it, but being how much work a cam swap is I would be inclinded to spend an extra 400 buck on the iron heads and really allow the cam to work MUCH more in a freindly enviorment....instead of 10-15 hp you'd be looking at picking up possibly 60 or so....you WILL feel that.

Also forgot to mention you would be able to sell the iron heads for what you paid in a yr or two and recoup your losses when the time comes to move to the 351...again just opinion.

Oh my....you'll likely learn how to replace bent valves and or pistons (have you heard of clearance issues) not to mention your going to have some bitter springs on your hands. You can't select a cam based on lift, that's like picking a car based on spark plugs.
