i know the best way to go is an HCI swap but if i just get the heads now (gt40s) will i notice any power gains without the other two? thanks.

yes...you will gain some top end revability, the stock intake has long narrow runners for maximum torqe, so you will have a torqy motor that will produce its peak power past the stock power peak of 4,200.

I would just save up and get a cobra intake to really wake up the engine. A cam is not really required becouse its not that bad from the factory.
