Default GT40 heads really worth it?

sorry for another thread about the gt40 stuff but i couldnt find the answer to this by searching ( I tried!).....

By the time i get the heads and explorer intake, get the heads milled and ported and the intake ported would the GT40 heads really be worth all the hassel or should i just save up some more and get some Trick flows or something along those lines?

thanks

im assuming i can get an 5.0 explorer engine for 300-400 if im lucky. I really have no idea how much all the machiene work would cost. Has anyone ever got heads milled and ported and there intake ported if so how much did all that cost you?

thumper said when he ports my heads and i get a new cam and what not... the 1 grand package.... i would be looking at a 50-60 hp upgrade... and i think i was rwhp actually... i do ahve a cobra tho... so its a lil better build plateform... with the intake and what not... and the gt-40.... but getting gt-40 heads ported seems to but out a lot
