Ever since i got my car ive put 93 octane in it...ive had it for about 2 months now...the last time i filled up i put in the lowest octane due to the lack of money
My car now seems to be running really sluggish now...Any idea whats goin on here????

could be a bad tank..could be you need to change fuel filter and or a general tuneup. Start by pulling the codes. Lower octane is not going to cause drivability issues except when your timing is advanced enough that you develop detonation from running to low of octane. Result would be detonation, not sluggish. If you getting detonation pull back the timing.

In the driveway...new filters, wires, rotor, cap, plugs...done 2 hours and buckets of learing experience you can apply next time...get your self a hanes manual and go at it.

Honestly it's far easier than you think it is...and if your going to drive an older car higher mile car nothing bad can come as a result of knowing your way around under it's hood.

If it was running strong before changing octane, I'd check the timing first. I assume these cars have anti-knock sensors, which would retard timing if there was any pinging (audible or not). This would make the car feel sluggish. In terms of a tune-up, if you don't know when the last one was done, it would be a good idea to tune the car up anyway.

Actuall they have no knock sensor...hard to define sluggish tough without experiencing it.
