wow, so much info, lol. I do know my cam is small but I'm not sure I want to go with a different cam yet. I'm not switching to a carb setup to make more power neccessarily, but to simplify things. I'm swapping my entire setup into my shelby cobra kit car and a carb engine would be much easier to use. Thanks for the advice, I'm going to read and research some more and I'm sure I'll have some more questions.

do they make a kit for the 5.0l, like everything yuo need?

Well I suppose if he listed the specs ont he heads, like runner volume, valve size, etc. It would be alittle easier to match up an intake. The performer rpm intake sux *** IMO, Weiand X-celerator is better, its more than teh RPM but less thana victor. And pedestal or stud mount doesnt matter, a 302 head is a 302 head and everything will bolt right up, no matter what the valve train is, hell you could even use shaft mount rocker and not have a prob, its only EFI that you watch out for clearance issues. Well that and Yates heads.

Im sure they do, but its usually cheaper jsut to piece it together, and get the pieces you want rather than what they give you.

There might be a sheet that came with the heads inside the box thatll give specs. If not you should be able to find the specs at edelbrock.com

the heads were on the car when I bought it. Also, some guy offered to trade me a weiand dual plane manifold for my lower IM, 24lbs inj and my 73mm maf, does that sound right? what are my parts worth?

Hes tryin to rip you off. Especially for a dual plane. Tell em to go and shove it up his ***, for bein an ******* and tryin to dupe you. The most expensive carb intake is maybe $350, at least I wouldnt pay more than that.

yeah that's what I thought. does the weind manifold take place of both the upper and lower manifolds? I'll check the numbers on my head and compare with the part# on edelbrock.com.

thanks man

On carbed applications there is only 1 intake manifold, there is no upper and lower. So for you EFI guys it would be considered a lower intake. I hopped on edelbrock.com and it appears that there are several different performer heads, so yeah definitly match up your part#. They give you runner volume (170 cc), but I didnt find CFM (cubic feet/minute) flow, which is really what I was lookin for. That and they are available in at least 2 different valve configs. Find out and post it.
