i didn't think so. hydrolic takes long to engage and disengage so it makes sence to stay cable on performance cars... i know ford uses hydrolic on some of the passanger cars tho

The reason why Ford didn't use hydraulic clutches is most likely because it costs more.
A hydraulic clutches actually is faster and smoother than cable and most importantly requires less maintenence.
I have one in my STi and it's a much better system, not to mention a blessing when stuck in a traffic jam.

no you don't have a hydraulic clutch.
the same 10.5" pressure plate and disc will work on your car all the way back to 1985 (b4 that they weren't WC and might work but but i am just saying for sure)
if you want tranny info look at http://www.ddperformance.com

then explain why the LT1 and LS1 guys have to drill holes in the hydrolic set ups so the clutch will release fast enough so shift???? my buddy has a LT1 and if you tryed to shift fast the clutch wouldn't disengage intime
