Hum,torque the flywheel, well i held the balancer side while my buddy cranked down on the bolts on the flywheel.....are you saying that if i didnt torque it to specs how would it warp???

RE: STILL GOT A VIBRATION...ARGGGG!!!!!!!!
actually when you put a new flywheel in and put the bolts on the say you should change them because they are specially made for one time use only....I forget what the do exaclty....I think they like open up a little or something....but i would hope u changed them[&:]

Have you taken the belt off and spun all the pulleys by hand? One of the pulleys could be warped or the bearing the pulley goes to could be sloppy. Is there a pulley that bolts to the balancer?
I had a '70 Cougar with the 351C and a two of bolts that bolt the crank pulley to the balancer, came completely out, putting all the stress on the remaining bolts. The remaining bolts eventually snapped off, leaving part of them still in the balancer. Back then I didn't know anything about cars. So I took the car to a machine shop where they took the balancer off and drilled out the broken bolts, then installed Key-Locks to make new threads. Oh ya... the pulley itself was toast; I had to get another one from the wrecking yard.

When you did your motor swap, what did you put in? Did you use an engine from pre-1982? Or did you SWAP to a 351?
I ask this because those engines require a 28 ounce balance on the flexplate/flywheel and the harmonic balancer both, not one or the other. If you are using an engine from after 82' then i will have to get more information from you.
