What year is it? I have an '85 GT with a carb. One of the main differences between a carb'd 302 and a EFI 302 is you can't use all the same bolt-ons, such as a throttle body, CAI, injectors, etc. You can add some underdrive pulleys, a K&N air filter, a new intake manifold, long-tube headers + mufflers, um...gosh I can't think of anything else aside from internald mods. [&:] I don't know if you have to smog where you live, but it's easier to build those carb'd engines from the ground up with really hot internals because that's the easiest way to get power if you don't have EFI.

I live in Hillsboro OR. What year car do you have? If it is originally EFI than you are more than likely screwed. Deq does not take into consideration whether or not a car is carbed. Carbureted cars built in the 60's and 70's have 4 times the allowable emissions as late model cars with EFI. One thing you can do is register it outside of Portland area where they don’t have DEQ. Sorry, but I do not know how to tune a carbureted car, I only worked with EFI.

Let me know if I can help.
