purpose of stalls???

the stall point is where the brakes cant hold the car back at a certain rpm.

no theres a differance from brake stall and actual stall brake stall can be lower than the rated stall of the converter

Ok, the actul stall speed of the 'verter, sort of depends on the torque of the engine also.
if you were using a converter of say 3000 RPM behind a 302 and you were to use the same converter behind a 351W the stall would be higher. As in several hundred RPM higher.....

I would also recommend if don't have any is some gears. You feel that stall and kick in nice. 373's are my preference for auto's but everyone has different opinions.
