Default purpose of stalls???

ok so im thinking of doing a 5spd conversion only for the fact that its more fun. whats is the function of stalls and do they make autos any more fun to drive?

stall is the stall point of the torque converter, yes it makes autos drive as good/better(with diff valve body and shift kit) than a manual.

allows the engine to get in its power band quicker basically stall till a certain rpm which an advertised stall speed can differ depending on the torque of the motor

ok, you no when you sit on the brake and give it gas... the rpms go up but you can keep it still? higher stall lets that rpm number be greater.... atleast thats how its been explained to me.
