hmm i need to do some research cus i've only built a few chevy 350's.. butthis 5.o will be soon.. think im goin to go with the 185.. do u sell good stroker kits (331)with notched pistons??

AFR will recommend a 165 for your combo, that's what they're made for.

If you want to possibly notch the pistons, run higher RPM and have a higher power band then you can use the 185's. Do NOT use the 205's.

Jay is recommending Canfields because that's who he knows and that's what he sells. There are a number of different cylinder heads for the SBF now a days.

185's match 331/347's well, we've literally done hundreds of setups that way and they're proven and efficient.

Pretty much all the 331's are going to include notched pistons if its a forged performance type piston. Piston to valve on 331's will be fine with any of the kits we sell and 185's (in my experience for a street type application.)
