Default Tires and Wheels Rubbing

I bought my 1993 Mustang LX with 235/45ZR17 tires and 5-Spoke Cobra rims already on it. However when I had the car jacked up to find out what was making the noise with the steering wheel cranked I found some chrome plating missing from the back of the rim and some small gouges in the a-arm. Also I noticed tire rubbing marks on the inner fender well. THe car has also been lowered. Does anyone know if I can install some adapters or something to keep the rims aways from the arms and tires away from the fender well? I only need about 1/4"-1/2". If you know where to get something like this or at least what it is called it would be greatly appriecated.
