Rear end Swap

I want to swap the rear end on my '88 from the 7.5 it has to an 8.8. Am I able to swap rears from any mustangs newer than a 93? There are very few 87-93 rear ends at the salvage yards around me (only found one from an 89 GT, but the yard wants $350). Or if anyone is looking to sell an 8.8 rear that lives in the Dallas metro area I'm game for that too.

88's came with 7.5?thought all foxes came with 8.8

all foxes came wit hte 8.8 after 86 so 87-93 had 8.8

maybe i m wrong

but that wouldnt surprise me

i assumed he meant a 4banger rear... 88s have the 8.8 rear.

It is currently a 4; Sorry left that out. I just found an 8.8" rear with 4.10s in it out of an 89 GT for $250 so I'm going to grab that one. Hopefully the gears arent shredded, but we'll see.
