4 banger front spindles

Pardon the noob question but ...are the front spindles on my 87 lx 2.3 the same as a 5.0?

The spindles may be, but the rotors and all susp. componets arent

Yeah..I kinda figured that...Is it difficult to convert the front suspension to 5.0....

The spindles along with everything else is different. If you wanna upgrade you're best bet is to hit the junkyard or ebay. The 5.0 rotors are larger and you would have to get bigger calipers too. I have a converted 4 cyl. Been there done that.

+1 the spindles are definitly different. The mounting point for the struts is thicker on the 4 cyer and WILL NOT allow you to bolt a 5.0 strut to it
