H/C/I swap

RE: H/C/I swap
Well a smaller combustion chamber = higher compression wich is good if you want to stay n/a, the advertised cc's for the GT40P's is 58cc, but I suppose factory tolerances could vary. This would bring compression up to 9.5:1, from the 9.0 - 9.2 with factory heads. But they claim 60cc. Just because a company advertises the same numbers in flow or valve sizes it does not mean the heads are equal. The design of the runners and ports plays a huge role in how well the air flows. Plus, the price of 275.00 says little for the actual quality of the product.

says no product found on heads link.
would recommend at least TFS stg 1 cam over the E
and a custom cam would be best.

+1, the alphabet cams are alright, but you can make better power with other cams for the same price. The tfs1 is a great cam, also look into a custom, with a custom you'll get the most gains outa a cam that you can with taht setup. The link for the heads didnt work for me.

the guys name is jay. Not too sure of a link, someone else can chime in on that one. Those heads dont look too bad, i didnt see a price, did you say 800 ?? The specs are really close to gt40Ps, you can prolly find a better deal on heads somewhere, do a lil shopping.

RE: H/C/I swap
If those tri state heads are the GT 40 explorer heads.. stay away from them. Plus if you get the gt40 explorer heads, you have to get special headers and theyre F'n expensive.. the money you have to come up with is not equal to the power you will get.

You'll be on the very limit with that, you'll have to check your clearance just to be sure.
