I should be O.K. with a girdled stock block, unless I'm over 500 HP, in which case I agree that the block is toast.

Remember, I'm only running 5 psi of boost and don't plan on upping that with different pulleys.

A girdle really just holds the block together after it splits. IIRC, luckythirteen lost his stock block with around 461rwhp. I'm suprised Black Snake's engine is still holding up though.

+1 A main girdle just keeps your internals in a nice neat pile when the block breaks

How much boost was he running? I'm surprised about Black Snake too. Isn't he running 10 psi?

Thanks for the confirmation and I'm getting the tune immediately after the engine is built.

Those are some massive changes. Tell us what it makes when you get it tuned. You're going to make some good power using Jay for your cam.

I'd recommend Jay whole heartedly. You tell him what you're looking to accomplish and he builds the pachage based on that. I told him I wanted a streetable combo and he got back to me with a tailor made combo.

I'm still waiting for the cam and I'll let you know the lift/duration, if you want.

I'm starting the disasembly tommorow and the guy whose helping me is without question, the best Mustang mind I've ever come across.

It blew me away how much he knows and FI Mustangs is his expertise.
