Yes most 5.0's with no slicks drive around the water, then spin them to clean them off... If you lower your tire pressure to 20psi in the rear tires, you will get maximum hook up.. I did this with my old bauld tires and I pulled off more than a handful of .5XX lights.. I just pop the hood while I wait in the line to race again, this gives more than enough time for the engine to cool, especially when the import drivers decide to show up in mass quantities... Other than that, If I took it to 2200 RPM I would spin through first, half through second and then chirp in 3rd... First off this is not good for ET's, and second no good for the car, so I talked to other 5.0 drivers, and I was told that with radials, basically go from idle.. maybe 1200ROM or so, just enough so it doesnt die off the line.. Dont necesarily follow what I am saying as I race at LACR in So. Cal. and the elevation is 2800 ft above sea level, track conditions make a huge difference, I am just simply giving a few more examples of things to try... Good luck and let us know how it goes!

what the hell is Toluline? i'll be swaping out my engine or rebuilding it in about a months time, might as well see if it really works. you said it was thinner?
It's a very voliatle petroleum based chemical solvent and it's dangerous to mess with stuff like that if you don't know what you're doing with it. Not sure but it could even attack the rubber components in the fuel system and eat them up causing all kinds of grief for you, so I would stay away from this kind of thing. I do know that inhaling the vapors from toulene is bad news for the lungs too.

Yeah, 87 octane fuel isnt any less powerful than 112 octance. Octane rating is the fuels resistance to combustion. So the higher the rating the more resistant to combustion the fuel is. Thats why high compression engines have to use high octane fuel. So please, dont use 112 in your car... like MD said, if anything youll go slower.

Do this and you will kill the cats on your car and then it will smell like hell! The high octane racing gas is leaded gas and you have no business using it on a street driven car and this myth about shaving tenths off your time is patently bulls**t too!
