Default control arm question

i was wondering what the pros and cons are for lightweight racing control arms...i think they make your car get off the line better and other aftermarket control arms give you better control but i am not sure...my car is only driven in the summer and it is not a daily driver. i would like to get performance out of control arms, but i do not want to make my handling suck

If that's all you're gonna do is replace the control arms you'd be wasting your money. Those alone won't get you anything. Now f you're going total tube k-member and coil overs, (the whole 9 yards) thatn it would be worth it.

I did my control arms and springs at the same time and it really stiffened things up, I think that they were worth it.

hahaha!!! i'm completely lost in this thread, and i think everybody is too... some of you are obviously talking about rear U/L CAs and others are talking about front tubular control arms.

rear control arms are worth it b/c you can ditch your quad shocks and they'll stiffen the ride and handling up a good amount.
