Q for the guys with a manual rack
any regrets about ditching the PS? ...i have no AC and i'm removing the smog, now i was looking at the PS pump and thinking about maybe getting rid of it. my rack and pinion took a dump so i have to get a new one anyways... just wondering if it's worth it switching over to manual.

RE: Q for the guys with a manual rack
thanks for the replies guys... i'm still not sure i wanna go that route though, i haven't been in a car without PS since about 10 years ago and i just don't remember if it was a big deal or not. also i just checked the pricing on the flaming river kits and WHOA! it's twice as much as getting the OEM rack with PS. Zach you say it's harder to steer... i was under the impression that the only deifference would be at a stand still, am i wrong?

RE: Q for the guys with a manual rack
I drove a 67 mustang with manual steering and the only time it mattered was at very slow speeds. I am talking less than 7 mph. I plan on running a manual rack on my 86 whenever some money rolls around to do so.
