get the TF street heat intake and a cam and start tearing your motor down. The TrickFlow H/C/I swap will put you around 270-280 rwhp if you're at or around sea level.

heads are the biggest restriction, so the intake and cam doesn't work all that well alone.

My bad, I mis-read a post and thought that you said you had a pair of TW heads. Yeah it would make a good difference if you had all the bolt ons, exhaust, etc. to go along with a cam and an intake, but you'd see much more significant gains with heads along with the intake and cam. Hope I made sense, I love kahlua (sp) and vodka! Mudslides FTW!

It's still worth a good amount of horsepower though. There was an article that I posted a few weeks back where they did a cam/roller rocker swap onto a BONE STOCk 100,000 mile 5.0 with an AOD. Gained 35 ft. lbs. of torque and a few horsepower. Imagine the gains with bolt ons, intake manifolds, exhaust, etc.

you're right, it's not completely worthless, just saying they give a much better improvement when combined with some heads like they're suppose to be.
