didn't those heads also have the seats the valve springs set in too ?

K code used a differant intake manifold from the C code.........
And carb........
Camshaft/valvetrain differant........
Compression was higher.....
Blocks were hand selected at the cleveland plant......
They were/are WAY special......

The spring seat on the hi-po had have a casted retainer to keep the spring centered on the valve. You can take the valve covers off and if the spring have a casted retainer around the base of the spring its a hi-po head. Most people over look the small little tell tell on these heads the reg 4 bbl and 2 bbl heads did not have this feature.

true but they still suck even compared to gt40/gt40p's and the new aftermarket i believe e7's even flow more

that was the head to have back then like the gt 40's is today
