On the JDSperformance.com site the MAC headers are HTS coated. what the hell does that mean?

dammit i was hoping that meant they were ceramic lol... oh well they are 230 bux which beats the 360 bux at summit.

No HTS is not quite as nice as ceramic. It's better than raw aluminized steel because it shouldn't rust out, but it doesn't contain heat like ceramic, and it doesn't look as good.

Stands for High-Temp-Silicone, but if you've ever seen them, those headers are lightly painted with the stuff, I'd go chrome before HTS.

I've got the MAC equal length shorty headers that I installed in '94 and they still look good with the coating that they came with and it wasn't the ceramic one everybody is talking about. And I drove the car on the street for over 5 years after I installed them before I took it off road as a drag race only car. Just passing along some personal first hand experience for you to ponder over.
