I am just trying to learn, I am going to build a 350 to 380 horse 306 and spray it with a wet 100 shot and use it to race on the weekends.

I said nothing about the size of the rod at all, I said its easy to see the difference between the 2, and posted a site that showed them... Now god forbid anyone jump up and call you a dick for making an honest mistake...

Just buy a good I beam. There is a noticeable difference between a Scat and CHP/Probe I beam (the ones they include in their kits and sell the most of because they do have optional I beams that are better). Scat has the better rods.

most people here will probably tell you your block will fail before you rods go. With the numbers you plan on making the stock block will be right at the failing point with the nitrous on top of your 350hp. How lucky are ya?

The Eagle H-beam rods are slightly heavier than the I-beam rods. The specs say the two are almost identical in strenth. I have the H-beams in my car. 498hp, 488fp torque and turning it 6500 to 6800 with no problems yet.

thats what i thought, and scout, believe it or not, i am pretty damn lucky! I doubt my block will fail pushin around 470 horse. plus thats on the bottle, so its not like i am puttin 470 horse to it all the time. I think thats why the blocks fail, fatigue, not cuz all of a sudden you put 500 horse to it and it breaks instantly.
