NGK TR55GP Platinum - Retail $2.99

NGK TR55IX Irridium - Retail $6.99

Question: Both of these plugs have the fine wire .6mm center electrode. Is the Irridium worth the extra cash and why?

I appreciate all your opinions - thanks

Well the fine center electrode is supposed to have a lower resistance and be less of a burden on the coils. In addition to that, their also supposed to allow more space for the spark to occure. Whether or not any of this stuff is true or not, I don't know.

Platinum plugs are garbage. Had nothing but problems for the month I ran platinum plugs. Ended up having to swap them out for copper autolite 25s and haven't had problems since. I don't think too highly or Irridium either. Just get good old fashioned copper plugs.

Not supposed to run them in blower cars anyway homie.
