ok so i'm about to go pull the cluster and install the gauges, i just have a quick question. do i need a special tool to get the needles off? even after 8 years of being a tech, i havn't run across this yet [:@][:@] anyone know?

dont take the needles off... just slide the gauges over them

UPDATE: i have the cluster out, about to eat, then i install.

They do make a plastic tool for taking the needles off it looks like two screwdrivers with a long splitin between. I did guages just like that, i doubt the needles will slide past.

That may not be possible depending on the thickness of the new overlays. If not, Matt, take a fork and slide it under the needles and pop them off. Just remember where they were.

ok i'm in the middle of it right now, i took the speedo itself and glass right out, and a little black ring with an uneven edge came out. where does this go? anyone? bernie? adder?

also, when i peeled the original face off, a little part peeled and stayed stuck to the plastic. what can i use to remove this without distorting the plastic?
