347 has nothing to do with being a bad driver.. it can still be like 240hp 347.. its just changing ur stroke, definetly helps if you want to amke more power yes.. but 347 doesnt mean anything, and you do not need forged like mentioned.. you are not building a drag car.

a explorer motor freshened up a little and a couple bolt ons will give you a strong running decent power car is what i assume you would want.
