Default Somehow I solved my idle issues..

Ever since I installed the cam and the other minor additions, on a cold start I'd start it, it'd run for about 3 seconds and die unless I gave it some throttle, after it got warm and could idle on its own the idle would surge from like 700-800 rpms constantly. Well something that I did tonight fixed all of this. The two only things that would affect this is installing the Kirban Fuel pressure regulator andbumping my fuel pressure up to 41 from 38 psi and cleaning the ACT. I can rev it now and it will immediatelydrop back down to idle and idle like a dream.Just thought that I'd share.

Yup, I can't wait till all of this snow melts so I can actually go out and drive it.

Air Charge Temperature Sensor, located on the driver's side of the lowerintake manifold near the front of it, it helps determine your AFR along with some of the other sensors. I wonder if I was running lean or something? I was bored today and wanted to see if somehow I could make it work and for some reason it barely fit, but it works great.

Glad you fixed your problem, 92. One question: Is the ACT a factory sensor, or something specific to aftermarket intakes? It's something that can be cleaned? I'll go look it up in my book, but just thought I'd ask anyway.

Yupwe've all gotthe ACT sensor. I ran out of carb cleaner the other day and I had to just wipe the sensor off with a q-tip todayandI didn't use anysolventand it was still pretty nasty, I'll probably end up replacing it in the near future just for the heck of it along with the coolant temperature sensor. I don't like waiting for things to go wrong.

i have the same combo and the exact same symptoms, i'm not sure what my fuel pressure is set at, but i do have the same afpr. when mine warms up, it stops and idles fine, but when it's cold it surges and dies.
