can I use the battery from my truck?
Yeah, as long as its a gas truck, not a deisel. I think some deisels are diff. voltage. Any 12 volt battery will do the trick

yup, you eliminated the battery issue when you tried jump starting it, you were using the other vehicles battery to start your car, has your starter been acting up lately? like turning over hard, rrhhhrrhhrhrhhrhr? I'd replace the starter solenoid for $15 and see what happens. What voltage is your battery reading, should be 13-14, preferebly tested w/ load tester.
I wouldn't necessarily say he eliminated the battery issue. A lot of thing could come into play. How thick were the jumper cable gauges? What shape where they in? What quality are they? Also have to think about how good of a connection he had...as far as corosion, etc.

When I just recently trie to jumpstart mine to move it to the garage, it wasn't working. It helped a little and the lights got brighter, etc. But there just wasn't enough juice to crank her (even when it was hooked up to an LT1. Nothing but clicking. But when I swapped cables to a bigger set, she fired right up.

If you just need to get it running and it's a manual, get some friends to give you a push...clutch-start it. Get up to around 10-15 mph (in 1st gear w/ clutch pedal down), let go of the clutch and then push it agian and it should be running.....assuming the battery/starter/solenoid is the problem. Worked for me in the past.

BTW, go to O'reilly's or somewhere for your starter solenoid...Autozone parts are crap.
