You don't have abattery issue, have you bypassed the starter solenoid and tried it?

yup, you eliminated the battery issue when you tried jump starting it, you were using the other vehicles battery to start your car, has your starter been acting up lately? like turning over hard, rrhhhrrhhrhrhhrhr? I'd replace the starter solenoid for $15 and see what happens. What voltage is your battery reading, should be 13-14, preferebly tested w/ load tester.

sounds like your batt is dead, you dont have good grounds, but i bet you need a new starter solenoid, go to autozone or whatever they are like 10$

I couldnt jump my car one day, all it did was click, and I replaced the battery and it fired right up. I had a bad cell. If you can borrow a good battery and it wont start, then replace the solenoid. Sorry 7UP, but that is what happened to me.

Make sure all your battery connections are tight tho. A loose one will make it click whether your using another battery or not, and/ or another car to jump it off.

Yea, I hear ya, hard to diagnose a truely dead battery without the load tester, it has enough amps to activate the solenoid but not enough to crank the starter... most likely, trying another battery direct would be a good start as well.

i have 11 volts on the battery. I used a voltmeter. I also banged on the solenoid and it started to slightly turn and then went away.

Battery's dead, you should have 13-14 with a volt meter and no load, as well as with a load.
