whats the procedure for checking the codes... i forgot. i think you just ground out the gray wire in the diag connector right?

If you bring it to Autozone or PepBoys they'll read the code for you and tell you what the deal is.

FALSE, Autozone can only scan OBDII, pre 95 is OBDI in which case you can do a self test.

you can go to oreillys and they have some cleaner specifically for maf sensors and it works great

Check out the simple stuff too. I've had engines that misfire because a wire burnt through. It would arc only at higher rpms at first, then as the insulation burnt off a little more, it would ground out all the time. I would check all my wires/plugs/cap/etc... as well. There's no feeling like one that you get after you troubleshoot something for days to find out it's something simple. LOL

ttt, anyone else? i'm gonna try and get to the bottom of this tomorrow, definately cleaning my air filter and MAF, check plug wires and whatnot...

mostly accel and constant velocity. i dont think it has come on during decel. it comes on in the normal cruising rpm range, if i nail it, it won't come on.
