EGR delete help needed
While trying to assemble my new upper intake I realized that there are no studs to attach the TB/EGR to the manifold. On TF's website I saw a note that the mainfolds are not designed for EGR equipped vehicles. This leads to two questions- one option is to delete the EGR from everything, what do I need to do to make everything run correctly? Also, if I do that, I don't know if the BBK CAI will fit, though it probably will. Anyone have experience with that?

RE: For those with Track Heat intakes/top ends
Cold air has nothing to do with the EGR. Use some vice grips to get the studs out of the stock intake and you will be all good. As for the EGR delete you can go two routes: get a delete plate for $40+ or order an EGR blockoff plate like I did from UPR that blocks the EGR port on the egr spacer. Other than that just cap the vaccuum lines in the passenger corner and your all gravy

If you want to delete your EGR, you will also need to reprogram your ECU or get a simulator off ebay for like 25 bucks. If you want to remove your spacer, you will have to get a EGR spacer delete, so you will have a place for your throttle cable. I think you are close to me(GVSU right?) so I could hook you up maybe.

To delete the EGR from the ECM, all you need is an EGR failure code....the EEC-IV does the delete automatically as soon as the failure is logged. The resistors kit/simulator will only cause an EGR failure code 33 to show up, but the check engine light will not turn on.
