its really common b/c of the huge aftermarket for chevy, but the ford aftermarket is finally catching up,as for the ls1 thats b/c they make a load more hp in stock form then most modifiied N/A fords

Personaly I do not care the slightest about what brand of engine is in a certain car but think of it this way your dropping a engine in from a car thst is much faster stock for stock into a much lighter car

A lot of peeps probably get realy defensive if you mention you are putting a chev into a ford...etc. I personally do not think it really matters. You can buy an aftermarket "chev" engine that is not in any way manufactured one bit by chevrolet..ie keith black or edelbrock.

I had a 74 bronco that had a steering box made by "saginaw" installed as OEM from the factory...i beleive saginaw was owned by GM at the time. Then there is all those DANA axles installed in absolutely everything.
