Default MAF cleaning

so on my search for a way to safely clean a MAF, i went to Autozone. no help. Napa. no help. Finally, Pep Boys, carry's CRC brand MAF cleaner. I Just applied it, and i'm recharging my K&N at the moment, so in a few i will post results as to whether or not it helped/fixed my high idle and shaking problem.

ok so just tested... its got a bit better throttle response, but the shaking is still very much evident.... i'm gonna pull codes tomorrow along with installing my new tank, pump, sending unit, and pickup tube. i'll also be posting pics of the install for a tech article. i've been doing some reading on iATN(International Automotive Technicians Network) and i saw someone else talking about EGR valve position sensor(like Pro50 said) and another guy experienced the shakes like me from a bad PIP and/or distributor(he put new dizzy and it fixed it)

You don't even need MAF cleaner to clean it, I just use carb cleaner.

you have to be careful with some carb cleaners... Some will attack plastic and melt it!
