i just dont understand why most cant wait to get everything together for a motor and run whatever until then. you just end up forever chasing the life of one part to the next.

I dont need anymore parts....at least I hope the hell not. I know for sure I'll need the distributor...but hopefully nothing else

iceman89gt-- story of my life. This was suposed to be a project car....but now Ive found other things I want so Im really just trying to get it out of my garage...plus Im trying to about it the cheapest way possible. All of the parts Ive got so far (aside from the carb, intake, fuel pump) were all used and can be returned. Sure if I had gone with all new stuff and a crate motor everything would be easy to figure out....but im too cheap for that.

Anyway....so a distributor from a 85 mustang gt w/ a steel gear will work in my 302?

I know I read that somewhere...but I was unsure because of the cam. I didnt know if the cam would be the same from a truck to a mustang....
