My mustang started knocking and im going to pull the motor(302). My dad has a motor he would give me but Im unsure if it would work. Its a rebuilt 302 out of a 1960'smodel car. If I switched my lower and upper intake (if it would even bolt up)......would it work? Is this 1960's model motor interchangeable with my 1992 motor?

the front timing cover is different. and its probably gonna have less power, but aside from the 28oz imbalance issue you will face.. you should be fine

Dont forget the oil pan.

alos, dont forget topick up a fuel pump block off plate cause the 60's motor used the mechanical pump on the block. also, that 60's motor is a hydraulic flat tappet motor while the one from your 92 is a hydraulic roller cammed motor. also,i think youneed a new distributor too.
