Oil pressure gauge!

RE: Oil pressure gauge!
Mines been at 0psi for a long time guess it would be a good idea to hook it. First the engine has to be put back in.(damaged due to oil pump shaft twisting in half & idiot stock guage not warning me of no oil psi)

I use an Autometer Sport Comp 2-5/8" mechanical oil pressure gauge and it is quite accurate and responsive. I can see the oil pressure start to fluctuate as I approach the finish line and the oil is wound up around the crankshaft at 6,200 rpm due to my stock oil pan. Just about any aftermarket mechanical gauge is going to be more accurate than the stock electrical gauges.

yes I would however use a copper tube then the ole plastic one they give ya....don't want a oil leak or burn a oil in it from the headers.....
roundman...sure it's the crank or are you using than good ole quacker state oil and all the oil is up in the top of the engine*LOL*

I wouldn't use quacker state in a lawn mower engine, much less a car! I'm running Royal Purple right now and yeah, it could be in the top of the motor too.
Just ordered about $500 worth of MT ET Drag slicks and tubes from Hanover Tire, should be able to get them later tomorrow. I've about had my fill of Hoosier slicks, two sets and both had some kind of leak or were easy to puncture with rocks at the track. Going up to the 28x10 size too to see if this won't improve things just a tad too! With my 4.57 rear gear, I'm running out of the gears a little too soon in my opinion.

That includes the tubes which are about $55 each plus balancing. the mounting/dismounting is free though. I might have saved some if I had gone mail order, I checked, but Hanover was very competitive and they did me a favor last year when I ordered some wheels and one didn't come in on time so they loaned me one I could use until the other one came in. Never hurts to have someone local you can trust either and they do have all the right equipment to mount any size tire without damaging the wheel too! You should see some of those monster gansta wheels they have too, pricey ain't the word for them.!
