Remote start on a 5 speed
Has anyone had success with this. I know they make then, but how hard are they to install, and is it worth it. I would have to stop parking with the car in gear, so I am kinda worried I will forget that on day, and bam.

i have one on my truck and it's great on cold mornings....if you remember to put the heat on when you park it for the night so it's on when you remote start it. it's a fairly easy install if you can follow directions. just delete the clutch sensor and leave it in neutral. personally i wouldn't bother but i got it as a gift...not a chance in my stang

I had remote start on 1 of my standard cars. Let a friend borrow it and when he parked it he left it in gear. Was getting rdy for work and I hit the start button next thing I know my car is driving through my garage door. $500.00 to get a new door installed. IMO remote start sucks on standards.

I do set my parking brake when parking, but habbit has always had me leaving it in gear. I have been thinking about it for a couple years now, but leaving it in gear by accident has always kept me from getting it.
