RE: Got some stuff to top off the HCI
goin by specs in the haynes manual 45 is ok, the EEC will not allow the dumping of extra in the walls by pulsing the injectors slower, but yet when you need the volume at WOT , its there

There is only so much the EEC can compensate for!!!
Each part we add to our cars builds in a certain percent of error in the injector pulsewidth calculations.
An aftermarket MAF and larger injectors can add a huge amount of error.
Also,a cam and heads, and yes, even a CAI will add some error to thePW calculations.
From 40 to 45psi is a rather large percentage increase.
45/40*100 = 112.5%.
You have just eaten up the entire range of your adaptive ability, +12.5%.
Per the GUFB documentation from Ford, the EEC-IV can adjust the calculated pulsewidths by +/- 15%. In reality there seems to only be about +/- 12.5% range.
Once you max out the Adaptive Ability of the EEC, the engine runs rich/lean with little control.
Start with the stock fuel pressure and adjust from there.
Most likely with mild to moderate modifications, the stock pressure will do just fine.
