up to what speed a 88 Mustang GT is Governed ?
The reason im asking is because a couple of week's ago an integra was trying to race me,so i got kind of mad and floord my gas pedal, by the way i have a 5 speed GT convertable stock ... lolso anyways as i was saying i took off like 7 car length's.Then he started catching up and my car only hit up to like 4000rpm's on 5th and i felt that it could still push more but it didnt... and i didnt know how fast was i going since it has an 85 speedo....

I have the same thing as you and mine isnt governed at all, hell i cant even get the rev limiter to kick in! Ive hit 7 grand a few times according to the tach and nothing governs me at all.........I like it that way too

if your car truly is stock... you dont have the power to get it past 140. where as that integra is lighter and has a better aerodynamic profile... AND its geared better... they will take you out on the top end.
I used to have a probe that would run 140 down the highway all day long. I pulled on my fathers 96 cobra on top end because of the steepness of the overdrive gear in a mustang.

stock tachs are not right these cars do have a revc limiter on them at 6300 I belive but I have a 5800 tach light on my car (where redline is) and it doesnt' come on until the stock tach reaches at least 6500
