lol if ur not a machanic id say dont even attempt to do them urself, it dont matter how good u think u are. take it to a pro or a speed shop and have them put it in. labor on it will all depend on how long it takes cause who ever u bring it to mite get the backlash and all the specs rite the first time but usually it doesnt happen. the guy thats goon do mine said at the most 500 for laber but if it just takes him a couple of hours then it shood only b a couple hundred bucks

hmm well i got other things that are going on right now other then trying to find out what gears. I have to pull my tranny now so the shop can take a look at it. Ahh the pride of owning a older car.

I'm a little confused on the whole RPM vs. MPH way of finding out your gear ratio. Since 3.73's are not stock, seems that you'd need the correct offset speedometer gear installed for this to be true. The speedometer measures MPH at the tranny, before it ever reaches the rear end. So if you change the rear gears you'll still have the same RPM/MPH relation, just that your ACTUAL speed will be incorrect unless you change the speedo gear. If the speed gear has been changed, then you could just look at it and find out which gear set it's designed to offset. But that's still it's no guarentee.
