86 sd to Mass Air

I have seen many a post and article to change an 87-88 sd to mass air, is it the same for an 86? Is the only practical way to get a donor from 89-93 and use the ENTIRE wiring harness & EEC or will the 87-88 method work?

no you can use the stock wiring.
