Default shifting problem ?

well most of the time when i try to get the reverse in on my 5 speed is always hard until i shift to 5th and then back to reverse will be the only way for it to go in smooth other wise it's ****en hard ....lol i was wondering if theres something wrong with it since i my self installed the clutch which i upgraded for King Cobra ?

No all T-5's are like that. It will get worse with an upgraded pressure plate.

Keep doing the 5th to Reverse show.

It's supposed to be that way, as reverse gear is not synchonized. Most people on this forum put their cars in a forward gear before selecting reverse.

My car sometimes is hard to put in reverse until it warms up for about 5 minutes or so than no problems.

i have to put mine in second before i put it in first, or reverse. my tremics been like that since i got it.

ps. i have a king cobra clutch and cant wait to throw the phucker out. its hard as hell to press and i keep breaking clutch cables.

normal, I gotta put mine in 4th then reverse. I have to do it quick to or it grinds like SOB!

I just put it in reverse before I start the mustang up - :P

It does suck that you have to put it into a forward gear first though.

damn!!! thanks it's good to know that now becausei thought i had ****d my tranny or my clutch from the burnout....nothing will get messed up from burnoutswill it ?
