+1. Are you sure it's smoke and not water vapor/mist? I don't think there is any type of smoking that would only happen when the car is cold.
there is,if your valve guides are gone or the valve seal.
LOL. I don't know what my problem is, but I meant to say, "when the WEATHER is cold."

Personally I believe it is simply condensation from the cool weather, but for a piece of mind have the valves tested. Good Luck

There's no way to test valve seals.
