If your gonna use a tow dolly just do it from the back and lock the steering wheel. If it wont lock, do it with the seat belt. I tow cars everyday and thats the better way to do i think.

naw dont do that. You'll wear out the pocket bearing in the front of the tranny cuz the mainshaft still turns. Take off the drive line. If the main shaft is turning w/out the gears locked onto it (cuz its in neutral) the countershaft wont turn and and spalsh lube on everything. They towed my pickup (5spd) like that and ruined my tranny. It doesn't always happen, but long story short, they bought me new one.

How far you got to go? Rent a flat bed drive on drive off U Haul trailer. Personally I wouldn't tow dolly it.

We actually had one guy do it that way for several miles and the car caught fire and burned up half the tow truck too. Again, dont let anything spin with no lube circulating on it.

UHAUL , damn 200 miles is pretty far. Call and get a quote, or ask them what the deal is on using tow dollies, it's something they deal with frequently.
