Quick help working on car! thanks!!
Hey guys! I just bought new valve cover gaskets for my car. I was wondering what was the best way to put them on with out having my bolts losening up again and again, its the trouble I'm having now.... the bolts shake loose and I get motor oil all over my headers and it smells nasty and the last thing I want is the cops stopping me about that....should I put lock tite on them, if so what kind? or what else can I do using the stock bolts!!!

find out why they are shaking out first of all.... bad balancer? no bolts should be able to shake loose.
second of all, don't use cork, use rubber gaskets
tighten them to factory specs. i think its somewhere around 20 ft-lbs.. using a 1/4" ratchet(smallest one), just about as far as you can go without using a pipe on it, should be about 35 ft-lbs, so judge accordingly.
