Ideally, you want 3-4" of pipe between your filter and MAF with NO bends prior to the MAF.

So the question continues, is it beneficial at all to move the MAF into the fenderwell? I think that it'd give false readings if you did do it, it'll be showing that colder air is going into the motor than what it actually is.

To answer the Anderson PowerPipe question yues it does help putting the Maf in the fender, much cooler the air is the more accurate the reading is on the maf. Also denser the sir the cooler it is.
